10 things most people do not know about me.. TAGGED!!!

I was tagged by Janine

HERE ARE THE RULES:
1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 people to get tagged and list their breads.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Ok, I figured since I am so open to everybody, and almost everybody who knows me knows my idiosyncrasies, I'll write things that most people do not know about me, things that only my bestfriends would only know. Let me begin with:

1. I do not like chocolates (but I eat chocolates, very rarely). Let me explain. I get dizzy (diabetic?? not really) when I eat chocolates. I only eat black chocolates with macadamia nuts (cadbury lang!). But occasionally, I eat red or blue M&Ms (arte noh!, parang iba kasi ung sweetness eh). I feel disappointed talaga when I receive chocolates as pasalubong or gift kasi I just give it to my sister who's an absolute chocoholic!

2. I love receiving flowers as gifts. Although it doesn't last long, but the memory of receving the flowers on a regular day or on a special day, stays with me for a long time. I still remember the people who gave me flowers since I was in grade school.

3. I actually contemplated leaving my profession 3 to 4 years ago. I wanted to pursue another career path that is so (180 degrees!) different with what I do now. My mother supported this decision, the problem is, my father didn't. He didn't allow me to leave the country thus he didn't approve of this move. Well, what is this new "career" that I wanted to pursue? It will remain a secret (for now).

4. I just realized, that I am not ready to bear children. If and when I get married, my (soon-to-be) husband will have to convince me (sobrang convincing) to have kids. When I was younger (about 4 to 8 years ago), I always wanted to have lots of children, at least 4, because I only have 2 siblings and it gets lonely when one of us leaves the house for out of town trips. Why suddenly a change of heart? I read somewhere that when you feel the need to nurture, and if you are not sure if you are ready for children, GET A DOG. Well, my sister got us a black labrador, and I love him dearly, but he's kind of a pain now, and he's growing up, he chews on my clothes and shoes and consumes so much food! Compared to a child, the money I spend on our dog is not as much (not even 0.0001%) as I would be spending on a child. I have to prepare for education, spend lots of time, effort and energy to show my love and affection to this child. What more if I had more than one? My life will be so different! But if it is the will of God for me to have children, of course, His will be done.

5. My ultimate dream is to be a very supportive and very loving HOUSEWIFE! haha! I know, it's quite ironic that I am not ready for children but I'd be very happy to serve a husband. Don't ask why because I myself do not know the reason.

6. I am a frustrated web designer. But I am not at all artistic. I have been building sites since I was in college. I get inspiration from other sites. I try my best to update all the sites that I created but I will not be broadcasting the sites I made. hahaha!

7. I am totally addicted to watching television series. Korean, chinese or american series! Once I'm hooked, I have to finish it immediately! I've featured coffee prince, one of my all-time favorites, here in this site. My other faves are: kim sam soon (I really hate it that Regine V is doing a remake of it, parang di bagay!), my girl, meteor garden, full house, Which star are you from, gossip girl, ONE TREE HILL, CSI and CSI miami!

8. I am not into American food. I love to eat chinese, korean, italian and filipino cuisine. I like few japanese cuisine (takoyaki and the japanese siomai only!). I also love to cook. More of experiment with cooking. I normally rummage through the kitchen when I am hungry, find whatever's on the pantry, mix ingrediates and just hope that it will taste good. Until recently, I made good food, last night, I made a terrible mistake of mixing bangus with oyster sauce. hahaha!!!

9. I have the nasty habit of fiddling with my clotting wounds, or rough skin around my fingertips or feet. Hahaha! Kaya hindi mabilis gumaling ang mga sugat at pimples ko! Nakakaasar noh!

10. Lastly, I find pleasure in grocery shopping! It's really corny, but I've given up being a shopaholic since I had to take some financial responsibilities at home. The next best thing is going out to buy groceries. Especially when the grocery that I will go to has everything (example: SM MOA and SM Bacoor!) I love looking at housewares, pots and pans, things that I might need around the kitchen or anywhere around the house that would absolutely look good or find use for.

I do hope you now know me a little bit better, and will not be surprised with the "revelations" I made in this entry. And now for the exciting part!!! I’m tagging the following people: aileen, alhexe jessica, ronald, romeo, nalen, tonix, bebang, jop, marvin and whoever wants to answer this tag. Please let me know if you already did, so i can read it too!
God bless!

SAVE GAS!!!

I got this from my kumare Eliza, may help some of the car owners I know.. Let's save gas! Go carpool!

TIPS ON PUMPING GAS

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California (so it is not me) we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon..

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some other liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon n is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up--most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some f the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.

Spark! Nawala??

haay.. di ko maintindihan ang sarili ko, nakakatawa ako, one day its here, the next day, its gone. i hate the fact that i felt this way when i got to "know" him a little bit better. sabi ng ibang officemate ko, elitista daw ako, eh hindi naman totoo yun. pero na - turn off talaga ako sa mga nalaman ko about him, and its driving me crazy, i really can not concentrate on my work, i always think about it, the way that i was "driven away" by what i learned. am i an elitist? no i really don't think so. i just don't know how to explain it. i think i just have to wait and see what will happen when i see him again. hay talaga! naaasar ako sa sarili ko!

Spark! Nawala?

Spark!

My friend Leslie was driving the traffic-laden EDSA yesterday evening (while I was sitting comfortably on the passenger seat) after bonding with our other friends Jeff, Eliza and our inaanak Erin. We got into this conversation about our almost non-existent "love-lives". Oh well, it got me into talking about this guy whom I met over two months ago. Of course, I assumed nothing, I do not expect anything, but this other friend of mine, whose identity will remain a secret, gets so kilig everytime this guy and I would engage into a conversation. Leslie was so excited with this "fact". Spark daw ang tawag dun. What???? Anong spark??? Ngayon ko lang ata nadinig yun!

Can somebody explain to me the word spark?? And what does it have to do with me? Hahaha!!!!
