Tuesday Night Out

Before, I found it very weird to go out on a Monday night, back when 7th Soul used played at Off the Grill in Timog on such a night. Going out on a Tuesday night was also not at all bad. Just because I was with good company. My ever-dependable bestfriend Mina obliged to join me in Dapo Restaurant and Bar, also in Timog, where former Side A lead guitarist Kelly Badon was playing. Kelly sent me a text message last Monday, inviting me to watch them and his two bandmates. All I can say is that Donna, the 18-year-old vocalist, could really blow! I could not figure out how she was singing those songs because all of them were very difficult, very difficult to sing inspite of or despite of (I don't know which one to use) the fact that she wasn't feeling well. I was really impressed. I hope next time they could play/sing more songs per set. (",)

Off the Grill Night Out with the Cisco Crew and 7th Soul

The Cisco Crew went out again, this time, eating out and drinking at Off the Grill in Timog, Quezon City. There was a little misunderstanding with the staff of OTG as they mixed up the reservations I made the night before. But all went well, mabuti na lang maaga sina Rowell. I do hope everyone enjoyed because 7th Soul played 3 superb sets (despite the bad sound system).

The girls and I also "surprised" Angelo with a cake and tarp (courtesy of the ever reliable, super duper kind and most of all beautiful Ms. Nikka Sotelo!). Right after his song number in the second set, the waiters brought in two cakes, from the girls and the band, and the tarp. Right after the set, off we went to the band table to get a piece of the cake Bam brought (oh well, they ate, i didn't, too sweet!). They also congratulated Leo for being the newest member of the band, officially! (Congrats Leo!)

Angelo's brother Michael came (as he always does) and the crowd egged him on singing with the band. He sang two songs and he was good! (La pa praktis un ah!)

To cap the night off, I had another terrible mishap. Deuel and Leo rode with us to the terminal, the guard at off the grill told me that I had a flat. I thought that I was only running my tire soft but when we arrived at the gas station, I really had a flat! Good thing I had tools and I knew how to replace a flat tire. But Deuel insisted on helping me replace the tire, and I was really ashamed because he should not have done that. I asked Benjiegirl to call Bam or NiƱo so they can pick up the two, Bam came a few minutes later and my the tire replacement was almost finished. I asked them to ride with Bam and told them we will be fine. After a few minutes, we were also off. Hay! What a night! Disaster!

Here in My Life

We have been singing this in church, and the very first time I sang this, I cried, tinamaan talaga ako ng husto. I super love this song, I still get teary eyed when I listen to this song.

Here In My Life Lyrics
Hillsongs Australia

I have never walked on water
felt the waves beneath my feet but
at Your word Lord, I'll receive Your
faith to walk on oceans deep

and I remember how You found me
in the very same place
all my failings surely would have drowned me
still You made a way

You are my freedom
Jesus, You're the reason
I'm kneeling again at Your throne
where would I be without You here in my life
here in my life

You have said that all the heavens
sing for joy at one who finds the
way to freedom, truth of Jesus
bought from death into His life

and I remember how You saw me
through the eyes of Your grace
and though the cost was Your beloved for me
still You made a way

To Go For The Dream or To Settle For The Habit

It's not really a question, more of a decision. My friend told me to go for both, I have nothing to lose if I go for both. But really, I think I have to decide which one to take and which one to "leave".

One is a habit, for me, choosing this would mean settling, meaning I am accepting the fact that I can not get my dream. But going for the dream would mean risking getting hurt. What to do?? hehehe...
