ER in ER! (Emma Ruth in Emergency Room!)

Saturday, August 23, 11:55pm.

First time in a long time that I've been brought to the emergency room. And the funny thing is, my entire family (arriving at different times) was there in the emergency room (we are five in the family, papa has his own car, my bro has his own car, and mama brought my car!)! I am not used to it because it was usually I would bring a family member to the hospital.

I could bear the pain at first but I was afraid that something was really wrong with my heart, so I went to the hospital when I was in tears because of the pain. My blood pressure was fine (110 over 70), my ECG was fine (although my heart was beating a bit slow daw), I have no diabetes and I have low (bad) cholesterol (based on the blood work up I had a month ago). They gave me medication through an IV (ouch!) so I would feel the immediate effects of relief. After 3 hours, I still felt the pain, but not as much as before. I didn't want to be confined because I had classes last Sunday.

When I was there, I sure was in high spirits, even receiving calls, first from Richard Poon and then Mina, even laughing at myself for being in this kind of condition. Richard even joked that I should admit that "pag ibig 'yan kaya sumasakit ang puso mo" (his words, not mine). Yesterday, he texted me this, "Whatever it is, I believe sickness is a reminder from God for us to adjust to have better health.:) So, happy adjusting :)". Ayan, pinangaralan na ako ni RP. (",)

Until now, my heart still hurts, maybe after taking the meds everything will be fine. If I will still feel this way tomorrow, maybe I will go to the hospital and have myself admitted. hay naku! Friends, pray for me that this is not something bad... (",) Thanks friends!!

Crash Into Me.. Commuter Na Ulit Ako!

Third accident of the year. Malas ba ng kotse ko? Should I stop using my car altogether? All of my accidents were caused by the other party. Last night, a drunk man crashed into me. I don't want to relive the accident. I am just thankful to God that none of my companions were hurt. We were all girls and the driver of the other vehicle reeked of alcohol. I was most afraid because first, we were all girls and second, the drunk man could have hit and ran from the responsibility. Good thing Elmer was still in OTG. He accompanied us to the police station and the other driver did not have the opportunity to harass me because he was there. I could have sued him for drunk driving but I did not want any more of my time wasted on this guy. He was a total jerk, he wanted to deny that he hit my car, because there was no damage to his vehicle. A lot of cars stopped because they saw what happened.

Oh well. Harsh reality. I will not be able to drive my car until its fixed. I will have to commute to and from work. I won't be able to bring my laptop to work, or if I brought it to work, I won't be able to bring it home if I have to go home late.

I DON'T KNOW IF I AM PUSHING MY LIMITS (GOING HOME LATE, GOING TO FAR, FAR PLACES, ETC) THAT I'VE BECOME SO INDEPENDENT BECAUSE OF THIS CAR, AND I'VE BECOME DEPENDENT ON THIS CAR. I AM IN SOOOOOOO NEED OF PRAYERS, JUST PRAYERS FOR MY SAFETY. THANKS A LOT! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

My Singapore Adventure: Day 3

Short Blog lang..

Day 3: Sentosa Day. Spent the whole day in Sentosa Island! Went for the Skyride, gone "luge-ing" (the best ever!), jumped up and down at the Siloso beach, and to cap the night off, watched the Songs of the Sea. Grabe ang ganda! Nakakatuwa ang combination ng lights, fire, and water!

My Singapore Adventure: Day 2

Hay naku.. We spent most of the day shopping! For electronics and trinkets.. Nabilhan ko na ung mga nagrequest at ung mga hindi nagrequest, keychain na lang po ang sa inyo.

We ate lunch at Funan, my lunch was sooooo hot! As in ANGHANG! Funan is like a sosyal Raon, more of Abenson Avant (multiplied by 8?), its like this big mall of electronics! Wanted to buy that 500GB external hdd, but I think I could not afford it yet. Converted to pesos, it costs about 5000.

Nest stop was Sim Lim, ito talaga Raon, pero mas sosyal pa din. Madaming mang-gagantso, buti na lang, magaling pa din kami tumanggi, bought my brother's iPod Touch here, parang mahal pero nung tinignan ko sa forums, 15k pa sa Pinas, kaya nakahinga ako ng matiwasay. I will not hear the end of it (from my brother) if I bought it for a much higher price. hahaha!

We got around Singapore by ourselves. Followed the streetmaps and the mrt maps. Buti na lang, you can get around the city by just taking the LRT/MRT. Of course, may mga kashungahan ever din ako, like going out the wrong exit, backtracking and finding our way again.

By the end of the day, I had sore leg muscles, tired of walking for two days! Met Analyn, James, Chay, Jenny, Jason, Mike and Dianne for dinner. They took us to the Gluttons Bay, as in gluttony talaga! Dami food at di namin naubos, naisip ko ang aking diet, and it went out the window! Sarap ng spicy food dito, sana lang, d pa ako umamoy! hahaha..

We also took pictures of the merlion, too bad, when we got to the famous Singapore monument, the water stopped running! waah! talk about malas! Ok lang, at least nakapag-papicture! Yehey!

My Singapore Adventure: Day 1

Manila: 5:30pm

Rushed to Mall of Asia coming from my God-daughter's birthday party. I had to buy a few things, chippy and tortillos for james and krispy kreme for mike. Papa was patiently waiting for me outside the mall, so he didn't have to park, after 15 minutes, I was in his car, on the way to the newly-opened NAIA Terminal 3 (nothing to be excited about, di pa ayos eh.)

Manila: 7:00pm
Checked in most of the baggage, patiently waiting to board, Dianne, Tita and Sir Glen were hungry so we ordered in a Jollibee kiosk that offered chicken in jolly hotdog styros. I didn't want to ruin my trip so I just took whatever's available.

Manila: 8:30pm
We were supposed to board but then again, out flight was not being called yet. An hour and a half later, we were asked to transfer to a different gate. Talk about hassle.

Manila 10:30pm
At last!!! Boarding time! (Sidenote lang: Jacqui Yllana was one of the flight stewards. She's still very pretty.) Within a few minutes, we were airborne. For the first time, I got to sit in a window seat. I really hate flying, I got dizzy within 10 minutes. Fortunately, the last row, was unoccupied, so I stretched out to sleep. I thought I was going to fall asleep easily but guess what, I was near the lavatories, and everytime someone would flush the toilet, I'd wake up. So much for a fun ride.

Singapore: 2 am
Budget Terminal! What a name!! Talagang pinalangdakan na mahirap ako! Still didn't have Singapore dollars, so Dianne paid for the cab ride home. Ate dinner and fell asleep at around 4am. Namahay ako, di ako agad nakatulog.

Singapore: 11am
Went to church with Mike, Dianne, Tita and Sir Glen, I was not able to attend the every nation service because it was so far from Mike's place and I knew I would not be ready in time, plus I didn't know how to get there. Oh my. After church, off to the city! Changed my pesos to dollars. Had my first mrt ride. Took a lot of pictures in Orchard Road! So many shops and malls, too little money!!!

Singapore: 2pm
Lunchtime!! yahoo! Had roasted pork (it was like lechon macau!). After lunch, walk again! super walking ito. Went hotel-hopping. Went to the 76th floor of this very tall building and saw the city. (Pictures to follow!) We also rode the Flyer, the world's largest "ferry's wheel". Took 2 years off my life because of the height! Oh my..

Singapore: 7pm
Marina. Dinner Time! Had Laksa, a local cuisine. Really delicious! Yum yum. Then shopping. There goes my credit card! huhu....

Singapore: 9pm
Home at last! Watched PDA little dreamers, to see Richard judge the kids.. He was too kind. haha.. He's looking a bit slimmer on tv. hhmmm.. I went to bed at around 11:30pm..

Today is another day.. Malamang, maubos na naman pera ko ngayon! waaahh!!!
